Mission & Vision

Why this place exists

Our Mission

To cultivate whole-person restoration through regenerative living, intentional community, and connection with God and creation. This mission shapes every choice on this land. From the materials of the homes to the rhythm of the gatherings, every detail serves the same purpose.

Our Vision

Still Waters is a walkable wellness village built around a regenerative working farm. Residents and guests experience simplistic luxury, deep restoration, and life aligned with the wisdom of creation. This is not rustic homesteading. It is refined regenerative living, designed for families who want their daily rhythms to match their deepest values.

Our Values

Our Non-Negotiable Values

These are the values that govern every decision at Still Waters. They shape how homes are built, how meals are shared, how children are raised, and how strangers are welcomed. Some are practical. Some are spiritual. None are negotiable.

  • Faith at the center
  • Worship House anchors all
  • Community by design
  • Regenerative and beyond organic
  • Non-toxic building
  • Beauty as medicine
  • Whole-person wellness
  • Community before consumption
  • Stewardship over ownership
  • Living by the rhythm of the seasons
The Covenant

Ten Shared Commitments

A covenant is not a contract. It is a shared promise. While bylaws and operating agreements protect the structure of the community, the Covenant protects its soul. It names how residents will live, steward the land, and treat one another long after the founders step back.

  1. Stewardship of the land
  2. Faith at the center
  3. Living in rhythm with creation
  4. Care for the whole person
  5. Beauty as a shared value
  6. Community and belonging
  7. Shared stewardship
  8. Regenerative living
  9. Learning and passing on wisdom
  10. Peaceful living
The Rule of Life

Daily Rhythms

Where the Covenant names the values, the Rule of Life describes how those values become daily practice. Morning, midday, and evening each have their own shape. So do the weeks. So do the seasons. None of it is rigid. All of it is an invitation.

Morning

Begin with Intention

Quiet stillness, gratitude, and a slow start. Prayer, walking paths through the grove, or coffee at the Table of Eden Café.

Midday

Work and Stewardship

Meaningful work, time outdoors, caring for family and land. Work approached as stewardship, not just productivity.

Evening

Gather and Restore

Shared meals, fire circles, and conversations that slow down. The day ends in connection, not in screens.

The Stewardship Charter

Care for the Land

The land is not ours to consume. It is ours to care for. The Stewardship Charter outlines eleven commitments to the 507 acres entrusted to Still Waters. From soil health to rainwater management to native pollinator habitats, every commitment is built around a single goal: leaving the land healthier than we found it.

Soil and Soul Health, Equally Vital

The first principle of regenerative agriculture. Healthy soil grows healthy food, which grows healthy people. We build soil through composting, cover cropping, and rotational grazing.

Beyond Organic

Organic is the floor, not the ceiling. We use no synthetic chemicals, period. We grow with the same care we would want for our own children.

Closed-Loop Systems

Greywater returned to the orchards. Composting in every kitchen. Energy from the sun. The village is designed so that what flows out also flows back in.

Our Symbol

The Triquetra

The triquetra is the ancient three-fold symbol that anchors Still Waters. Three interwoven loops, one continuous line, no beginning and no end. For us, it represents the three things that must be held together for restoration to take root: God, the land, and the body. Three woven so closely that none can be cared for in isolation.

This symbol appears throughout the village. In the orchard layout. In the floor of the Worship House. On every bottle that leaves the apothecary. It is the visual shorthand for our entire way of life.

Faith at the Center

The Worship House

Still Waters is a faith-forward community. The Worship House is the first building we will raise on this land. Not because it is the largest or the most expensive, but because it anchors everything else. The village radiates outward from it. Walking paths begin and end there. Sunday gatherings happen there. So do weddings, baptisms, harvest blessings, and quiet weekday prayers.

Welcome From Many Backgrounds

People from many faith backgrounds are welcomed at Still Waters. Guests, visitors, and friends are received with hospitality regardless of their personal beliefs. What is non-negotiable is that the village itself is faith-forward. We do not hide this. We name it gently and clearly so that everyone who comes knows what kind of place this is.
